ARBURG GmbH + Co KG, Halle 13, Stand A13
Innovative machine manufacturers are transforming themselves into suppliers of flexible production systems for IT networked production technology in the "Smart Factory". ARBURG has been involved in the practical implementation of this topic for 30 years and has made a major contribution to the production of the VDMA "Industry 4.0 Guideline".
As early as the K 1986, ARBURG presented a fully automated production system with no manual set-up processes that consisted of several linked injection moulding machines. At the time, the system was controlled by an early version of the ARBURG host computer system. ARBURG most recently demonstrated how Industry 4.0 technologies can be integrated with customer data received online to tap into new business models in the added value chain at the Hannover Messe 2016, using the example of individualised office scissors. An ALLROUNDER injection moulding machine and a freeformer for industrial additive manufacturing are linked by means of a seven-axis robot. The fully networked and automated production line is designed so that eight part variants can be produced without changeover. The process and quality data is recorded via the ARBURG host computer system and archived in the "cloud". A specific web page can be used to access the data for each part at any time using mobile devices.
An innovative application will be on show at the K 2016, illustrating the current status of the Smart Factory in practical terms. In addition, visitors will be able to find out about future potential and ARBURG solutions at a central information point on exhibition stand 13A13. They will learn how ARBURG has implemented the topic of Industry 4.0 in its products over the last 30 years and which practical examples are of relevance for plastic part production. There will also be a demonstration of which Industry 4.0 tools help make the company's own production more efficient and which projects and standardisations are supported.
